Mally Bags is a very proudly South African, online leather bags company.

We were founded in 2009, by Marian Nel, and are pushed forward by her dream to make lasting items, that only get better with age.

We focus on offering our clients leather goods that are that both understated, and functional.

While taking trends into careful and creative consideration, we keep design simple, and we’re led by an appreciation for utility and longevity.

Although creatively conceptualized in the Klein Karoo, our bags are produced in Cape Town.

We work alongside an in-house team who support underprivileged women by offering them employment opportunities, and we’re really very proud to be part of such a wonderful initiative, and contribute as positively as we can towards our growing economy.

All of our extra material is also donated to the Nelsview Integrated Community Project.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR MALLY LEATHER BAG

Mally Bags uses a distressed natural leather and extra care needs to be taken to prolong the life of your bag.

HOW TO PROTECT:

Please apply a leather protector spray to your bag before use to waterproof, preserve and protect it. First test product on bottom of bag before applying. This leather tends to absorb oils and stains due to its natural properties, so please apply leather protector regularly to protect your bag.

HOW TO CONDITION:

Apply a leather conditioner monthly to prevent your bag from drying out. Apply on soft cloth and rub into bag. Your bag will look new and shiny again. We sell a leather conditioner on our website under women / leather care.

HOW TO CLEAN:

Use a soft cloth to clean the exterior of your bag, do not wipe stains into bag. Keep bag away from water, should it get wet allow it to air dry, never use heater. Once dry apply a quality leather conditioner.

PLEASE NOTE:

Keep bag away from direct sunlight as fading can occur. Please do not stick stickers on your bag. Keep bag away from chemicals, heat and humidity. Do not rest bag against dyed garments to prevent color transfer. Due to natural properties of leather, scratches, marks and flaws are not considered to be defects.
